JELD-WEN Fiberglass Doors are affordable, stylish and environmentally friendly interior doors. Fire Rating requirements need to be checked with local building codes. Fire Ratings are commonly needed for doorways between garage and house.
This Colonist Smooth face door are Pre-hung units, framed with 4-9/16 in. primed finger-jointed flatboard jambs with colonial stops, 2-3/8 in. standard single bore.

Storage & Handling
- Always handle doors with clean hands or while wearing clean gloves
- Doors should not be at a job site until concrete floors, foundations and plaster walls are thoroughly dry.
- Doors should not be exposed to excessive moisture, head, dryness or direct sunlight
Installation
- Doors should be conditioned to average prevailing relative humidity of the locality before fitting
- Do not cut doors down. Cutting doors or jambs will negate the Fire Rating
- Please review local building codes for Fire Rating Required
- Allow 1/8 in. clearance between doro and frame at the top and sides of the unit.
- Be sure that jambs and stops are set perfectly square and plumb, shim and fasten every 2 feet.
Fiberglassing
- Fiberglass must be applied to the door immediately after fitting and hanging, but not during or immediately after high-moisture periods.
- Surfaces must beclean and dry
- Sand entire door lightly with 180 grit sandpaper
- Fiberglass all (6) sides, this induldes edges, tops and bottoms.
